Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IP University) Delhi has extended the application deadline upto 10 Apr 2024 for admission in all its UG and PG courses.

Although the University has decided to accept CUET-UG 2024 scores, it shall also conduct its own CETs (Common Entrance Tests) for various UG courses. And like it did last year, it shall give first preference to students who attempt its own entrance tests. CUET-UG based admissions shall be granted only on left-over seats, if any.

CUET-UG candidates to get only left-over seats: The admissions shall be on the basis of the merit of the University’s own Common Entrance Test (CET).

The vacant seats after exhausting the merit list of IPU’s own CETs will be filled through the merit list of CUET-UG. The University has accordingly advised that IPU's CETs be attempted for better chances of admission.

And in some select courses, in keeping with the past practice, only the national level entrance test scores will be considered as detailed below.

Mandatory to register on IPU portal: Further, please note that it is mandatory to register on IPU portal for all candidates of National Level tests, IPU’s own CETs, CUET-UG and Merit-Based programmes.

A) Admissions Through Entrance Test (CET) to be Conducted by The University

1) 4 Year Bachelor of Arts (Economics) (Honours)  - CET Code 197 

2) 4 Year Bachelor of Arts (English) (Honours) - CET Code 184   

3) 4 Year BBA & Allied Courses - CET Code 125 

4) 3 Year Bachelor of Computer Applications - CET Code 114 

5) 4 Year B.Com (Hons) - CET Code 146

6) 3 Year Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication  - CET Code 126 

7) 4 year Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) - CET Code 127

8) 4 Year B.Tech (Biotechnology) - CET Code 130 

9) 3 Year BSc (Medical Technology, Radiotherapy) – CET Code 158

10) 3 Year BSc (Medical Imaging Technology) – CET Code 134

11) 4 Year BA Liberal Arts – CET Code 451

12) 4 Year BSc (Hons) Nursing – CET Code 115 (the first priority in this course is for NEET. Leftover seats will be filled through merit of University’s own CET).

CET format: The CET shall be Computer Based Test of 2.5 hrs duration which shall be held in Bangalore, Chandigarh, Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Noida.

Application last date: The last date to apply for IPU’s CET is 10 Apr 2024.

B) National Level Test-Based Admissions

For the below programs, the respective CET codes are required to be entered while filling in the application form

1. B.Tech via JEE-Mains

2. B.Arch via NATA

3. MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS via NEET

4. BA-LLB & BBA-LLB via CLAT

5) 4 Year BSc (Hons) Nursing - via NEET

6) Bachelor of Design - For this, first priority will be to score of national level design entrance tests like UCEED / NID DAT / JEE part II / NATA etc, followed by University’s own CET (CET Code 600) and thereafter the score of CUET.

C) Paramedical courses through CET followed by CUET

(a) First preference to University’s own CET (CET Code 124) followed by CUET score for Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT), Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics (BPO), Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology-{B.SC.(MLT)}, Bachelor of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP)

(b) First preference to University’s own CET (CET Code 133) followed by CUET score for B.Pharm

(c) First preference to University’s own CET (CET Code 117) followed by CUET score for BSc Yoga

D) CUET/Marks based admissions

Admission in BSc Environmental Science shall be on the basis of CUET. For seats Vacant after exhausting the merit list of CUET, admissions will be done on the merit of qualifying Examination.
